It’s time for another NetworkNews Update. There’s some really cool news this time and some uneventful stuff, so let’s get this underway.
Hiatus Set End-Date?
First thing’s first, the show will be coming back by the end of next month. That is pretty much a sure thing. At the time of my writing this, I am uncertain of whether the show will maintain its weekly format or will have to change to biweekly/monthly. I can say, with certainty, that the first few reviews back are going to be multi-part episodes, released across several days instead of all at once. This is because these episodes were done in a…”unique” way. Rather than reviewing one or two issues a title, I knocked out an entire volume. While I hesitate to say that I won’t be doing that again, I will say that it’s something that won’t happen often, as the preparation required to get that type of thing ready for shooting is a nightmare.
The schedule is remaining unchanged.
-Red Hood & The Outlaws vol. 1
-Teen Titans vol. 1
-Super-Girl vol. 1
-Wonder Woman vol. 1
Following this series of New 52 reviews, I will be taking a break from the New 52 to do some backtracking. I intend to re-review a number of comics that I’d reviewed in the past, but better. I won’t disclose those here, but I haven’t really reviewed that many so your odds of guessing the right ones are high.
Now let’s talk about the really fun news. My room, AKA, my “set”, is done. Everything is set up in my room the way I want it. All I have to do is put up a couple posters that will be here in the mail within the next week. I also have all of the props I need.
More cool stuff coming for the show includes a new, original theme song, a logo for the show, a general title card, and a number of other new features that will hopefully make the show seem more tightly knit. One addition that I’ll be contributing on my own is the addition of a sort of “Comic Segment” in the show. This is basically a way to handle certain storyline bits without having to worry about costumes and props and things. I don’t have any money to pay anyone else to draw them, so I’ll have to do that myself.
Call to Assist
Next I want to mention the official NNTV Patreon account. I’d really appreciate it if you guys would help support what I do by sharing the account with others and contributing, yourselves. It’s only a dollar a month (though you can donate whatever amount you want) and if I can get a few regular patrons, I should be able to improve the show even further. And I am working on the prizes and benefits of donations. Presently I am working on have T-Shirts and other paraphernalia made, so that’s something to look forward to. I’ll also look into doing exclusive live chats and video prizes, as well as some other cool stuff, like maybe a Toonified version of you or something. Contact me if you have any idea what you guys might want in return for your help with donations.
You can find that page at:
There anything in particular that you guys would like to see me do v-logs on? Here’s a list of what I already have planned for the foreseeable future.
-My Life as a Teenage Robot
-Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes
-The Spectacular Spider-Man
-Batman: Mask of the Phantasm
-Pokemon (Indigo League – Johto League)
The only Con that I may be able to attend in the near future is Mythicon, right here in Orlando. September 19-21. I can’t go to any cons out of state, for fairly obvious reasons.
This is something of an experiment, but if anyone would be interested in seeing written original content, then please let me know. I am, after all, a writer first. I am working on a few comics, but that’s not quite the same…and they take longer…a lot longer.
I believe that’s about the long and short of everything. Don’t forget to follow my blog and follow me on Twitter. Like ThatRuled on Facebook, of course. Like and share our content and, as always, take care.
All right, so I decided to go ahead hand set up a blogspot for NNTV.
(Editors note:you can also reach the blog by going to Blog.NetworkNextTV.com)
It’s basically going to function as a means for me to attempt staying organized and letting people know what’s going on In NNTVLand as it relate, not only to my shows, but anything I’m generally involved in, be it podcasts, crossovers, whatever. The hiatus SHOULD be over come September 4th.
The updates I’ve already posted on the blog will explain why my schedule is so different from what I revealed was in my upcoming plans.
All right, so I’m sure it’ gone noticed that the “Crisis of Multiple Shows” Story Arc’s final episode is taking a while. I’d intended to release that last week but technical difficulties in editing prevented that and, since then, I’ve been busy. (Also note that, yes, I released an Editorial before the conclusion episode. Editorials do not take place within continuity. They are a standalone thing.)
Aside from that delay, the some people, I’m sure, have figured out that there was a different versus meant to take place before Superman Returns. Here is the thing with that. We just got busy is all. And we missed the window. We wanted to do the this story arc in time for Man of Steel’s release (for our thoughts on THAT movie, you’ll have to wait. Though my own thoughts on it are probably already obvious) so we pushed the originally intended episode back. It will happen eventually, please bear with us.
Another show I’m sure has been noted as being delayed is Cartoon Cartoon Week…basically I just don’t have the time to do that show regularly so it’ll be a more spontaneous thing. There is another one coming up but I’m thinking of altering the format a bit so, again, bear with me.
Lastly, TPT has been on hold for a while. I will remind you that that show is muuuch more of a group effort and, again, people got crap to do. It’ll pick up at some point. Patience, Grasshoppers.
As a reward for your patience with me, here’s a list of the next few episodes I have planned, not counting the Crisis conclusion. (Not in order, sorry).
- Inked Editorial: Justice League vs. The Avengers
- That WiseGuy: Episode 18
- Capes & Crusaders: Top 7 Captain “AMUUURICAH! F*** YEAH!” Moments
- The CyniCritic: Dragonball Evolution
I’ll also be premiering a couple of not-so-regular shows. Hopefully soon.
That’ll be all, peoples. Thanks for watching. Deuce.
Hey everyone, Skeletroy here. I’d just like to give you an update as to what you can expect from me in the first half of the upcoming year.
I’m starting an interview show called “Getting to Know…”, where I’ll be talking to video producers about their shows and their experiences making said shows. I’ll be doing this 4 times a month, new episodes will hopefully be released on Sundays. In months that have 5 Sundays, I will be uploading episodes on the last four.
Season 2 of Adver-tainment will begin in May, and the first half of the season will run until the end of June. The rest of the season will be in November/December. Also, I’ll be doing commentaries on the older episodes, to be released on the first of each month.
Also, I’m working on a series about video games. It will mostly be about the Super Nintendo, but will also feature games from the Sega Genesis, Turbo Grafx 16, the NES, and their Japanese counterparts; the Super Famicom, Mega Drive, PC Engine, and Famicom, respectively. More details will follow when this project nears completion.
And finally, there are plenty of cameos, crossovers and podcasts with the rest of the producers on ThatRuled. Some have been planned, and some are in the idea stage. We love collaborating with each other, and you’re bound to see a lot of great content from all of us.
So, without giving away any reviews that I’ve planned but haven’t started working on yet, this is the current schedule for the first half of 2013.

- Upcoming Episodes
- New Shows & Ideas
- Schedule Update
All right, everybody, it’s time for a quick update. I do these in written format because if I’m on camera without a script I ramble something FIERCE. So, with that said, let’s talk about what’s coming in NNTV Land.
I have a lot of episodes coming up for VARIOUS different shows, including a very big month ahead of me in January. First thing’s first, I will have the CyniCritic review of “The Guyver” (1991) done and released by either this weekend OR the weekend of December 7-9. I also have a couple of crossovers in the works that should be out some time relatively soon. I’m not in charge of releasing that one so only time will tell. I will also have my Christmas Special to you all by December 23 at the latest.
This brings us to the wall I have unintentionally backed myself into with this January. I have CartoonCartoonWeek 3 coming up then as well as the Ghost Rider Tribute. Neither of which will take an excessive amount of time but they will take work galore throughout December. I ask that you be patient as I MAY end up missing a day or two of the Ghost Rider Tribute being that Cartoon Cartoon Week is the easiest, by FAR, to have ready for you guys and I do want you to have something to look forward to. There is also the matter of February in which I hope to have another episode prepared for “The Plot Thickens”, this time featuring both Ink and The Cynic in individual episodes.
I also have the regular Wednesday short episodes such as “That WiseGuy” to do. I currently have no other shows filling the Wednesday block but I’ll come back to that. Silver Screen Cinema is still waiting on props and costume pieces so please forgive that delay. Hopefully I’ll be set to bring that show back after December. I CAN say that my next scheduled episode of that is “Captain America: The First Avenger”.
New Shows & Ideas
So my current situation is the same one that I always end up in. I have a boat load of ideas and won’t stop thinking about them until they’re used or expressed so here are shows I will be doing but no time in the immediate future. They will all certainly begin after Spring Break at the earliest.
- Request DENIED – A show where one of the critics goes over a request they’ve received to review something then deny that request and go over why in a brief and humorous overview.
- Word From The Wise – Ask the WiseGuy a question. He’ll answer it. Simplest concept in the world.
No, I haven’t been in many of the podcasts and the reason for that is basically schedule conflict. Some podcasts I stay out of due to my not having anything to say on the subject and others I just don’t have the time or convenience of location to get involved in them. I’ll still be in a podcast every once in a while but it’s not going to be as frequent that I’m in them as pretty much everyone else. That is something I also hope to have rectified by the end of December.
Okay so there are a few announcements in this field. I feel the biggest one is as follows: I won’t be doing “Midnight Releases” anymore. Is it because I crunch for time? No, quite the opposite. It’s actually more because I get impatient when I have a new video sitting on my computer and not being used. However, there are other scheduling things that I feel I should mention.
First of all, there are the Weekend shows to address. These are still down to CyniCritic, Silver Screen Cinema, The Plot Thickens, and Capes&Crusaders (which will have a new name by the next episode). The Wednesday episodes, for now, are just the WiseGuy.
Now I’ll get to talking regularity of shows. Until there are more shows in the Wednesday block, WiseGuy will be every Wednesday. So here come the Month-Based shows.
- CartoonCartoonWeek – This will remain unchanged and hit the site for an uninterrupted week every other month.
- Month Long Tribute – While the first go at the tribute will be two months, the MonthLongTributes will only turn up every 4 months. Meaning you’ll only see it three times a year. Also, if it falls on CartoonCartoonWeek again after this Janurary, CartoonCartoonWeek will take priority.
- The Plot Thickens is something I will try to have monthly. But I am not promising that it will be updated every month but when I do the episodes, it will only happen once in a month unless there is a special coming up or a much longer episode than usual. (Those Vid-Coms actually take a total of about three days to put together and that’s just for the 3 minute ones)
With all of this having been said, I hope you enjoy what I have coming up for you guys. After the Ghost Rider Tribute and CartoonCartoonWeek I may take a break from doing all of those more special things and just worry about movie/comic reviews for a while. Don’t want to exhaust all of my ideas too quickly. Anyway, that is all, everybody. Deuce.

That Ruled is proud to announce a partnership with NetworkNext TV, who will be contributing several shows to the current TR lineup. NNTV covers current films, cartons, comics, and much, much more! Check the dropdown menu “Shows>Network Next TV” to see everything as it updates!
Jimmy TR comments:
“NetworkNextTV brings some truly intelligent perspectives to the site lineup. As an added bonus, the man is funny. Check out The Wise Guy, if you want to see what I mean.”
Okay, so, after Vegas completely crashed my computer, I restored a drive image, only to find out that projects would no longer load.
Several solutions exist, such as updating drivers, disabling waveforms and previews, etc., but, I found the solution hinted at, but not confirmed. I have confirmed it!
If you have any NewBlue effects installed, and they are being used in a project that cannot load, uninstall those effects – presto! It’s fixed.
